Hello Families,
My name is Janine Emmel. I will be your child’s ESOL teacher this year. This will be my 23rd year of teaching. I am looking forward to an amazing school year with all of you. I am a wife and a mother of a 17 year old. I enjoy reading, traveling and spending time with my family.
Mrs. Guiterriez
My name is Barbara Gutierrez, and I am excited to be a part of Jenkins Elementary as an ESOL teacher. This year marks my ninth year in teaching and my eighth year in PWCS. I grew up in Southern California and went to college in Arizona. I moved to Woodbridge after being a military wife for ten years. My husband and I have two children. My daughter continues her journey as a middle schooler, and my son attends kindergarten here at Jenkins. I am a lover of all things food, music, and sports. In addition, I love to read and aspire to become a published author one day.
I look forward to having a fantastic year with students! We will have so much fun exploring. I take great joy in aiding students on their academic journey to become more skilled readers, writers, and mathematicians. Parents, please reach out anytime, as you are vital to making this year successful. Happy 2023-2024 school year! [email protected]

Mrs. Amy Stumpf
Welcome to the 2022-23 school year!
I'm one of the ESOL teachers here at Jenkins and I love working with English learners. I began my career in Florida teaching first grade. Over the years I have taught kindergarten, first, second, and third grade in the classroom. I have been an ESOL teacher for all the elementary grades, and I also wrote curriculum for the states of Georgia, Maryland, South Carolina, and Michigan. Throughout my career I have always loved supporting English learners and their families. This year I can't wait to meet my new students and begin learning together. I love learning about different parts of our world and all the cultures represented here at Jenkins from my students. This summer Mrs. Reed taught me how to make papusas! They were so yummy! If you have a favorite family recipe you would like to share, I would love to learn how to make it. Learning is more fun when we do it together!
I'm so glad we are a part of the Jenkins family together.
See you soon!
